Higham Family Camp
Bring Your Thing
If everyone brings a skill or something they love doing then we end up with a wide range of activities that people can join in with. It doesn't matter what it is - there'll almost certainly be someone who wants to have a go at it with you.

Bring an Activity
Each morning when we gather, we'll share all our and let everyone what's happening and when.
It might be a bike race round the field, a burger making class or how to climb a tree. Join in anything on offer or let us help you organise something of your own,
Last year a 5 year old boldly offered to teach keepy-uppy - he got a cheer for his boldness and several went along. That's the have-a-go spirit we're talking about here.

Get Up There
Music has always played a part in camp proceedings.

There's always lots of closet performers and shy but capable singers who end up in the talent show or help to get everyone singing round the campfire. Its a perfect place to just leave your shyness behind and sing up.
So please bring instruments - even if you think you're 'not very good' or feel a bit nervous. We're not looking for seasoned performances - we're looking to get behind people who want to play or sing but need a little encouragement.

Get Refreshed
Sometimes you just want to get away from the crowd, plonk your deckchair in the shade of an oak tree and chill out. That's considered a very valid use of time.
There's plenty of long walks you can go on and some usually risk a wild-swim in the River Eden which is just a stones throw beyond the camping area.

Its not a Christian camp but The Highams and some of their friends are pretty passionate about their faith. If prayer or worship kicks off - feel free to join in or pass it by - there are no expectations. And if you end up having an epiphany whilst you're here we can baptise you in the river - you won't be the first!

The River Eden is a stone's throw away from the camping field. Its NOT officially part of the camp and at your own risk - but if you think you might end up having a dip then our advice would be...
...wear something on your feet and definitely keep your mouth closed!
